Awenta Orbit Series: Bathroom extractor fan for ceiling installations

Axial-flow fans for extracting air, available in three nominal sizes Ø 100 mmØ 125 mmØ 150 mm

Meet the Orbit bathroom extractor fan – designed for efficient moisture and odour removal with a focus on quick installation, easy maintenance and long-term reliability. While engineered for ceiling installation (perfect for capturing rising humid air at source), the unit is also approved for wall mounting, giving you flexibility during refurbishments or new builds. A tough ABS plastic housing delivers dimensional stability, ball bearings ensure durable, smooth running, and the IPX4 rating provides splash protection for wet zones. With a maximum operating temperature of 40 °C, the Orbit is ideally suited to bathrooms, toilets, utility rooms and similar spaces.

Options

Orbit Standard: on / off via light switch (on-site)

Orbit T: adjustable timer 3 - 30 minutes

Orbit H: adjustable timer 3 - 30 minutes, adjustable humidity sensor 40 - 90% relative humidity

Orbit R: adjustable timer 3 - 30 minutes, motion detector

Orbit F: adjustable timer 3 - 30 minutes, , photosensor

Installation and servicing are refreshingly straightforward thanks to the Easy Clip system. You can attach and remove the front panel without tools, which cuts installation time and makes routine cleaning a breeze. The fan is available in 100 mm, 125 mm and 150 mm nominal sizes to match common ducting and core-drill diameters. Choose from multiple control variants to fit your project: a simple terminal block (basic), run-on timer, humidity sensor (humidistat) + timer, motion sensor + timer, and photocell + timer for light-activated operation. Pick one model for manual switching, or go sensor-led for set-and-forget convenience.

Why ceiling first? Warm, moist air naturally gathers overhead, so ceiling mounting captures it right where it accumulates. Pair the Orbit with a humidistat + timer to extract only when needed – ideal for energy-conscious households and tenanted properties. In small internal bathrooms or WCs, a run-on timer maintains airflow after lights go off, helping reduce condensation and mould risk. Add a backdraft shutter (accessory) to prevent outside air ingress when the fan is off. If your layout dictates a wall position, the Orbit’s dual-mount design and Easy Clip front keep the job quick and tidy.

Everyday upkeep is minimal. The smooth ABS fascia wipes clean in seconds; popping off the front panel exposes the intake area for a proper dust wipe-down. Ball-bearing motors lower friction, which supports quiet, low-wear operation over time. With Ø 100/125/150 mm options, you can right-size airflow to the room volume: compact WCs typically suit 100 mm, while larger family bathrooms benefit from 125 or 150 mm. Control variants lift convenience further: the humidistat reacts to shower-steam spikes, the motion sensor starts extraction as you enter, and the photocell ties fan behaviour to room lighting.

What is an Axial Fan?

An axial fan moves air parallel to the motor shaft. Think propeller: air is drawn in from the front and discharged to the rear, so the airflow passes axially through the fan.

How it works

A motor spins an impeller whose blade profile creates a pressure difference, delivering high airflow at low to medium static pressure. Housings, grilles and optional backdraft shutters improve safety, serviceability and backflow protection.
