Ceiling fan Girona – as bright as day, e.g. with LED

The Girona ceiling fan illuminates the room and casts a soft light. You can choose any bulb rated energy class E to A++ or LED lamps to equip the E27 base. We recommend using a durable LED lamp with a low energy consumption and warm white lighting.

The close-up shows you how neatly the lamp shade fits into the housing of the ceiling fans. The slightly frosted opal glass prevents glaring light and casts a soft shine. Even when using energy-saving LED there will be no obvious diodes visible through the glass.

Use ceiling fans with lights instead of a conventional ceiling light fixture.

The ceiling fans with light are available in three colours:
If simply cannot decide in favour of one of the three ceiling fans straightaway, go by considering the space where the fan will be applied. There is definitely a trend of viewing ceiling fans as part of the furnishing instead of just a cooling device. Do not choose your fan solely based on pragmatic technical aspects. The Girona fan in oil rubbed bronze with blades in cherry and dark walnut has a nice vintage effect. The colour of the housing describes a matt dark brown. The imitated cherry wood has a light, slightly reddish finish. If you prefer a more solid look, install the blades with the dark walnut side facing down. The beauty of reversible blades is that you can change them at any time.

In light-flooded, bright rooms, e.g. holiday homes, the ceiling fan in white is a good choice. It blends into pale ceilings but is also a good match for coloured walls. The lighter blade colour brightens up shady rooms. If you are looking for a subtle splash of colour, go for the reverse of the blades with a natural maple finish. Maple wood is a popular choice when it comes to furniture and goes well with other interior decors. The integrated light emphasises the weightless design of this ceiling fan.

The nickel version comes with a surface with a softly satined metallic shine. Both the blade colours silver (light-coloured) and graphite (medium grey) are great options. It is best to check out which side goes better with rest of the interior decor and furniture. Dark colours often convey a certain steadiness, light shades convey a feeling of ease. The metallic model with a modern light fixture at the bottom harmonises with smooth surfaces such as glass and marble slabs. In small offices and engineering rooms this version fits the rest of the metal equipment.

Pleasant ambience throughout the year
A slide switch allows you to switch the running direction from summer to winter mode. The fan speeds of the Girona ceiling fan are selected on the remote control. That way you have three individual speed levels during the summer and the winter mode.

Summer mode: You are aching for cooling? No problem for the Girona ceiling fan. When running anti-clockwise the airflow is directed downwards to the ground. Three speed levels with 140, 235 and 260 revolutions per minute guarantee the perfect amount of air circulation in any situation.

Winter mode: The heater is turned on, warm air accumulates on the ceiling and you are sitting on the couch battling cold feet? Use the reversing feature of the Girona ceiling fan. The clockwise running direction sucks in air from the ground and forces heat from the ceiling down the walls so that it reaches you on the lower level of the room. The room temperature is evened out in the process. This saves you heating costs, seeing that you do not have to continue heating all the time.

The sliding switch is located directly on the housing of this ceiling fan range, just above the blades. There is no need for special tools to switch the fan from summer to winter mode. This makes the Girona a very flexible and versatile domestic appliance as it is easy to adjust the fan performance to unsettled weather conditions. The integrated single light is not affected by the running direction.

Humidity level of the air

Instruction for installation of the Girona series:

The blades should be mounted 2.3 m (7.5 ft) above the ground to ensure ideal circulation of air. In order to guarantee that nothing gets in the way of the blades‘ rotation it is important to keep a safety distance of 30 cm (11.8 in) to the tips of the blades. Please keep this in mind if you have lightweight curtains that could be sucked in by the revolution of the fan. The Girona fan has a net weight of 5.44 kg (11.99 lbs) and can be mounted to even surfaces (beams) with a 30 kg (67 lbs) carrying capacity. The Girona is not designed for installation on sloped ceilings. The fan light is connected to the power supply like any other standard ceiling light fixture. For reasons of safety this must be done by a trained professional or certified electrician. Upon putting it into operation for the first time this ceiling fan with remote control needs to work 24 hours without a break until all components have run in.

The Girona ceiling fan with a single light fixture is only suitable for use indoors. It is not designed for application in damp rooms such as the bathroom. Ceiling fans without IP rating are ideal for indoor areas of residential or commercial buildings with a maximum humidity level of ca. 60%. In bathroom, WC or kitchen this value is usually exceeded when the rooms is being used. So-called damp rooms, industrial environments or covered and uncovered outdoor spaces require fans with a corresponding IP protection code to ensure safety and durability of the device.

Ceiling fan with remote control
The delivery contents of this ceiling fan include a remote control with LED indicator light. This allows you to choose any setting of the rotation speed, lighting and on/off of the entire device, all from the comfort of your couch. Furthermore, the remote control comes with a handy memory feature that remembers the last setting before the device has been turned off and continues in this manner. The can also be upgraded with wall controllers from our range. However, it is important to note that it is not possible use a remote control and wall controller together.

In some instances it might be necessary to change the radio frequency on the remote control. The Girona manual explains this procedure in detail.

The remote control receiver is inserted into the mounting bracket.

Maintenance and care
The Girona ceiling fan with light does not require frequent maintenance. The top-quality motor with permanently lubricated ball-bearing operates without needing additional oil. Only the usual cleaning work that necessary around the house has to be done: light dusting with a soft brush or cloth to make sure there will be no damage due to harsh handling. Before you start the cleaning the fan should be switched off, if possible it is best to completely disconnect it from the power supply through the fuse box. Do not use water or damp cloths on the housing, the electric components inside the fan and the fan blades might get harmed.

If you follow these instructions you are guaranteed to enjoy your new remote-controlled ceiling fan for many years. The instruction manual gives you a few more tips to prevent operational noise etc.

2 in 1
The blades have a finished on each side to resemble the most common timbers used in furniture. The diffuse light of the ceiling fan really brings out the grain texture. The film is cut off with great precision at the edge of the blades where it is glued on carefully. The reversible blades are attached to the motor housing with simple screws and can be flipped over without much of a hassle to change up the look of the fan.
